Default Strongly against "Red Dawn filmmakers to "kowtow" to the Chinese authority

The film makers of "Red Dawn" changed the enemy from China to North Korea because they do not want to anger the Chinese regime. I want to see a movie about Chinese invasion of America not a North Korea invation, everybody knows that North Korea invading is just ridiculous. I'm sure many people in China or elsewere would also agree, I guess the American filmakers do not they film to be banned by China so they changed the script to please them but I predict they shall lose more audience because of a stupid plot. I wonder if the movie company serves the general audience or serves the Chinese government? This is entertainment business not politics, I hope they realise they are making a very big mistake.

    From Tropical_ulcer's link
Curiously, there is one game that thought about using the Chinese as antagonists... and chose not to. "Homefront" tells the story of an Asian nation invading the United States: North Korea.
Ah, so Red Dawn 2012 is the adaptation of Homefront ! I see why it'll fail !

So? How many American games (which also sell globally including China/Hong Kong) depict us killing Chinese soldiers? Or Russians, Germans, Middle Eastern etc. It's a game. Of course the US would be a candidate to be the enemy of China in a Chinese game. We're one of the few countries which is their military equal.

On original topic, yeah its sh!t. The filmmakers are basically validating that the Chinese government can bully or intimidate the media of the US not to show China in a bad light.
