Thread: SA-7 lower grip! resin wall display model!

  1. #1

Default SA-7 lower grip! resin wall display model!

Been working on this for a little while! got it in two parts ready for printing up and painting it, still making some final adjustments before the printer 3D prints it! should be noted this is just a shell that looks like the SA-7 lower grip assembly and that is all. Still working on modeling the trigger and side switch!

As you can see the printed out model kept all the sharp details the 3D version had! Just need to finish modeling the trigger and side switch..

So what kind of set up cost are we talking?

Initial production cost for printing one side was roughly around 300 the other side will be 200 and trigger and switch will be 97. the high cost is the amount of material used and time taken to do the printing of the part. but once the other other sections are completed I will have masters that can be cast in silicon rubber and more made quickly from the master molds.

Generally creating of master parts is the most expensive since one is paying for a part that can be cast time and again when the rubber mold that is being used to make quick casts wears out so while one has a high overhead over time it pays off..
