Arrow Court: Killing an Opossum with a Shovel Isn’t Illegal in California

    http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2012/08/10/...in-california/

This whole case is retarded, but it is even more retarded that it went all the way to the federal appeals court.

Killing vermin with a shovel is now known to be legal in the great state of California. Now if they can only get their politicians legally classified as vermin, they will be in good shape.

Wrong. It just can't have a handle and the size of the shovel is regulated. You can own a shovel but handles are heavily regulated.

What is illegal though (at least in LA county) is killing rodents in your backyard with an Air Rifle.
That is a law that needs to be changed.

What about killing crows with an air rifle? Surely that should be punished...

Felony. If you use a shovel you must take a hunters education course and apply for a permit. The wait for said permits are currently between 6-9 months.

That is really messed up in my opinion, but if they are truly being a nuisance, I don't see why not...
Has to be a really good reason though, not just "they are annoying"

LAWB:I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to CJ, until I said "yes" to a divorce. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle. I'm here a week now... waiting for a mission... getting softer. Every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Crow squats in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around the walls moved in a little tighter.

What if the shovel had a pistol grip and a bayonet lug?
