I only use my big screen TV to watch blu-rays etc.Cable TV is a major rip off in OZ.Normal TV is reality show after reality show....and I'm sick of the "celebrity chef".

Couldn't justify paying hundred bucks a month for 250 channels that included 4 golf, 6 cooking, 3 tennis, 9 home improvement and 147 reality channels.

My cable provider replaced my internet provider for better speed and prices!

With present amount of agressive advs and propaganda, no wonder people leave TV behind.

We got new cable provider in whole town part, so tv+internet together is now cheaper then just internet from separate provider. All while offering better speed thanks to new cable.

I do watch tv a little, but my tv is IPTV (as in via ADSL). So I do not need to use the cable.

I only watch the news or the sports on the TV. Everything is so full of commercials that it is unbearable to watch.

My father still watches TV at home and my flatmates also watch it from time to time, but for me, internet+computer pretty much replaced TV. If I want news, movies, shows, games or ****, I have a device that delivers me what I want, when I want it, hassle-free.
    TV just can´t deliver that.

Me too, placed my TV in the basement 4-5 years back as an experience, wanted to see how long it would take before I missed it. Last summer when I cleaned my my basement, I threw it away. Whatever little TV I see, I watch online.

A special thanks to DR.DK for broadcasting the Olympics online.
