Has anyone seen a KSG for sale in the civilian world?
Do they really want 650-700 for it like the rumor mill seems to think?

Was just in a local gun store. Hanging off the ceiling for $850, I believe. They're out there. I would personally recommend the UTAS UTS-15 over the KSG. Kel-Tec's reliability between their RFB rifle and KSG shotgun is shoddy (shotty, if you prefer.).
I was the training co-coordinator, and a trainer, at US C-SOG. They constantly evaluate new gear for use. I had for call out bags of gear at my house, as well as multiple weapons (that's not counting what we kept in the office). Guys would literally hand you stuff at conventions, as they wanted people to see you using it, and ask you where you got it from.
Haven't shot the UTS-15 yet but I have shot the KSG and i'm impressed enough to buy one eventually. I have the RFB and after some initial problems and a trip back to the factory (their service department is excellent) where they upgraded almost everything on the rifle I've put over 2K rounds through it without a problem using a variety of surplus and new ammunition. Would I take either into combat? No but they are fun to shoot.
$850 to $1500 for a pump 12 gauge. Somebody needs to pass the bong.
If they could get it to market for something around $500 I might be interested. But there is no way I would pay anything close to $1500 for a pump 12 gauge.
I like Kel Tec designs, but between their problems on some models, general unavailability and price points that are simply ridiculous, I'll have to stick to tried and true weapons.
What are the advantages of a bullpup shotgun for roles such as this where engagements would presumably be unpredictable, spontaneous and instantaneous and within close to short range, often indoors, and possibly a lot of friendlies/bystanders? Versus a conventional configuration such as an 870? Handguns?
