Come on, it's not that bad - depending who made it of course, not to mention who's firing it (sideways above the head is not recommended of course). Plenty of 'operators' use the things, not to mention professional armies all over the world, not just the spray and pray crowd.
What about the '74? That's more on a par with the M4 for accuracy and auto fire controllability.
Man, ya'll be hatin'
I think it looks great. I can't imagine that its functionality is anything but better. A stock that is lighter, and adjustable for length of pull or for armor. Probably the best short range sighting system ever invented. While rails can and are taken to the extreme, I don't think that is the case here. My biggest gripe about the AK family (I know the RPD is a cousin at best) is how hot the forearm gets in about 40 rounds. A rail can keep your mitts away and let some of the heat escape more quickly. All they need to do now is give it a coat of tan paint.
Never used one, but I always thought the Gripod seemed like a great idea. What are your complaints bout it? Is it too tall?
Why do Americans have to convert every 3rd world weapon into some tactiswag thing?
