Maybe.
These guys can see a reflection in a puddle and think it's a sign from God to kill infidels- they'll use any excuse to kill.
It may also make someone think twice before doing it in the first place.
"That $1000 the Taliban offered me to give to my family to light up the US soldiers won't go far when my son can't hold a government job or go to university- my kid is going to hate me"
I worked the front gate in KAF for a couple of months once. It was horrible. 1200-1500 people a day coming through. Searching them, sorting them, logging them.
They were pricks to each other. Pushing, shoving, people skipping in line, people causing fights. Old men getting cut up from razor wire, people getting trampled.
When I was on gate I made a rule, anyone caught pushing shoving fighting skipping or any of that crap would have their work permit taken away for the day (and risk getting fired).
If I caught them doing it again and recognized them I would take it away for a few days then a week. For added emphasis when I caught someone breaking my rules I also took the permits of 2 people ahead of the guy and 2 behind him. When the guy would show up the next day, sometimes sporting a black eye, he would be the paragon of a well behaved citizen standing in a line. We got people through security faster with next to no issues. If someone DID **** around, the people around the guy would sort him out before I could even get close.
It's easy for people to be a**holes but when it starts effecting their peers around them or especially their family, they tend to change their behavior.
