    For an urban-combat demonstration, a multi-national fire team of U.S. Marines and West African partners prepare to clear a building of immediate threats during Exercise Western Accord 2012.For the multi-week, multi-lateral event, partners from West African nations trained and lived together in the Mont Rolland training area located This, Senegal. The training ranged from non-lethal weapons tactics to command-post procedures, an intelligence symposium, urban-combat training and a humanitarian civil assistance project that brought medical and dental care to the local population. Exercise Western Accord 2012 is a multi-lateral training exercise with West African nations to increase understanding and interoperability, prevent conflict by enabling Africans to provide for their security and stability, strengthen relationships with partner nations, and promote and support U.S. national security priorities. Participating African nations include Senegal, Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Gambia, who will be working with U.S. troops in Senegalese training sites until July 24.

    EASTERN SAN DIEGO COUNTY (Aug. 16, 2012) - Two MH-60S helicopters from Navy Helicopter Sea Combat squadrons THREE (HSC-3) and TWO-ONE (HSC-21) prepare to conduct a water drop to combat a wildfire. HSC-3 and HSC-21 are assisting CALFIRE by providing aircrews flying specially-equipped MH-60S helicopters to conduct aerial water drops against several wildfires in eastern San Diego County.     i believe it's to see them better and direct each chopper from the firefighters on the ground to the area where they are used
