I think that support comes from Pakistan either doing something very big in the past that can not be disclosed or having something right know that gives them leverage that also can not be disclosed.

When you have a society that is run by corrupt leaders who keep most of the people in ignorance and poverty, what can one expect? Look at Europe when it was run by a theocracy or aristocracy? Ignorance is probably the best ally to corrupt leaders.

Well forgive me sir but there are quite some societies with corrupt leaders and people in ignorance and poverty but they cannot reach the pakistani brutality.



One or two can be completely wackos, this happens in USA, Germany or Italy. However in these countries you won`t see the majority of the population
tolerating or even worst agreeing to these king of behaviours.

They don't behave that way from lack of education. The education as a fix crowd can use some education on the subject, check related episodes of PBS Frontline to get some education about education in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

This si a result of pathetic Pakistani culture plain and simple. Even in a ****ed up place like the middle East I doubt they would do this to a mentally handicapped child.

According to Islamic law killing non-combatants is forbiden, destroying buildings is forbiden, killing animals and trees is forbiden, breaking a deal is forbiden, etc. and yet they do it anyway all over the world.

Pakistan orders probe of disabled girl's blasphemy arrest

Pakistan's president has ordered a report into the arrest of a girl with mental disabilities, reportedly as young as 11, accused of desecrating pages of the Koran.

Police say the girl was arrested last week in a Christian area of the capital, Islamabad, after a furious crowd demanded she be punished.

Officials said the girl could not properly answer police questions.

Her parents have been taken into protective custody following threats.

Many other Christian families have fled the neighbourhood after unrest erupted. Reports say that police arrested her under pressure from the large crowd.
It is thought that the girl has Down's syndrome, which is a congenital condition that causes various degrees of learning difficulties and certain physical abnormalities.

State media said that President Asif Ali Zardari had "taken notice" of the reports of the arrest and asked Pakistan's interior ministry to present a report to him.

Hmmm, since this happened in pakistan and going by past incidents there are several ways this could be treated

She could be GangRaped

She could be Stoned to death

She could have Acid thrown on her

She could be set afire

Her family could be set on Fire, Stoned Lynched, shot, Imprisoned


Or there is the slight chance the authorities may actually find her innocent and protect her as is their Job.

Pardon me but it isn't void.
You can't blame someone for linking this to Islam when they see a society go for it which adopted Islamic law as ultimate authority, when they read of clerics hailing the procedure, when they see mobs in the street demanding her hands to rot off, when they witness the utter silence and inactivity of the supposedly moderate Muslims who should be taking a stand against it...
Christian dogmata would've never allowed for something as the Inquisition to happen yet the clergy did it anyway, and its crimes are rightfully blamed on Christianity.

Yes and they chose to ignore it until the the outside world found out. Like in other cases it is THEN that the STATE uses the mentally challenged defense to kill the case and get out of that mess.
