Default new book: service by marcus luttrell

so Luttrell has a new book out called Service.

has anyone read it and can they give a review?

i dont want to waste my money like i did with lone survivor.

just to put that in context, i was expecting a better book than half on his SEAL training followed by OP REDWING snippets.

thanks for your service marcus, this isnt a slight on you.

also has anyone read Fearless by Eric Blehm

Im waiting for a review too. I kinda share your same complaints, regarding mostly all SEAL books. I picked up Fearless however, Adam Brown was a Hot Springs AR native, so I wanted to see whats up with a fellow Arkansan. finishing up two books and haven't read it yet tho....

I read Fearless and I strongly recommend it to anyone. I was a little sceptical because of all that Seal Team Six hype after the OBL Raid, but this book is not only about his great achievements in the military but also about what kind of person he was and what gap he left in the hearts of his wife, kids, family and friends. This book is not about SEAL Team Six, it´s about one of it´s finest operators. Eric Blehm did a good job at showing what an amazing person Adam Brown was, how he overcame his demons and became a devoted husband, father, buddy and SEAL operator.
When I finished the book I had tears in my eyes and I´m not somebody who´s eyes are watered all the time I´m definatly gonna read this book again.

i read Serivce, it's a pretty good book that goes on about what happened after LS. It tells about how Rangers and Green Berets risked their necks to go look for him, and the Pararescueman and 920th rescue squadron picked him up, and the search of his fallen Teammates. Further into the book goes on about his work n Iraq.

I would say this is a must pick up book. I also recommend The Red Circle as well.
