How anyone will justify JSF purchase at time when everything else is reduced, disposed of, minimized.
By minimizing the order to a laughable number.

How would this effect the Dutch Marines? And is there any chance these cuts can be stopped? Would the missions of the future such as EU battlegroups be possible with a reduced armed forces?

As there have been no further cuts as of yet, nothing much changes untill after the elections.

Under the current restructuring of the Armed Forces the Marines pulled back one Coy from the Antilles in order to create some extra manpower capacity for the creation of MarSof. The Army now deploys a Coy there on 4 monthly rotation.

EU battlegroups are composed of batallion, or company, sized units from multiple member states, allowing for tailor made composition of forces as needed.

He's bitter, away from home, having no friends, having to do something because his dad wills so...

Just an impression, I bet he will clarify it for us all.

Bitter, yes, but I'm glad I'm away from that rock and it's people. Friends aren't a problem as we're all very passionate about our beer and women which provide good for conversations.
    And good 'ol dad, eh?

Now they've based a mixed air force and army air defense unit of 101 men
But all hope is not yet lost for Curacao as they have the ANTMIL.

Meanwhile, according to a recent poll, 87% of voters want to ditch the JSF, as it is too expensive under the current austere climate.

What do they want then? 'Nothing' is not an option, yet.

Or postponing the decision for another 4 years, politicians are fond of postponing things.

Well if Finland is going to do some air-patrolling for Iceland, I guess we can secure your air-space once in a while during return trips
