On Wednesday 22 August 2012, 7 Belgian military from the EOD unit of the Belgian Armed Forces (DOVO-SEDEE) were wounded as the result of an explosion of propelant charges that had to be destroyed on the Pampa Range near Houthalen-Helchteren, Belgium. Of the 7, 4 were severely injured and one of them - Adjudant Johan Bosmans - later died in the military hospital of Neder-over-Heembeek near Brussels.
