We would get half of a chicken fried with fries and an American or an Iranian soft drink all for 2 bucks. It was damn tasty to.

For the most part Iraq was pretty civilized when compared to Afghanistan. They had a secular rule and modern infrastructure when compared to the Taliban ruled Afghanistan.Iraq was more secular then mullah led Iran.

The Iranians were converted long ago, they just await the loss of their chains with great fanfare

Wouldn't be surprised if/when Abrams are rolling into Tehran, people come out cheering with big ass bottles of moonshine

Followed by BURN YOUR HEADSCARVES fire piles

    That'll freedomize them.

Paradropping slightly used, white (important!) BMWs might be a better strategy as far as Persians go. Stick a pair of complimentary super tight Dolce and Gabbana jeans into the glovebox and the war is over.

Opening McDonalds franchise in Teheran is an important step to maintain peace in the region.

All jokes asides, this is very true. I always said that the US managed to conquer the world with McDonald's in ways that Hitler, Napoleon or anyone else couldn't have imagined.

Yep, you knew the Cold war was won when they had McDonalds open in Red Square.

As for China, check out KFC near Tiananmen Square.

A wave of new American-style restaurants is spreading across the Iraqi capital, enticing customers hungry for alternatives to traditional offerings like lamb kebabs and fire-roasted carp.
Something tells me that they will be rushing back to their traditional offering real quick

If we'd really wanted to make Iraq safe for Democracy, we'd have shipped in high speed internet connections with Wi-Fi, as everyone and their mother has a smart phone or at least a cell phone; cheap radios and TVs (filled with Western friendly shows, with an Arabic and/or Islamic bent); cheap cars; and let every fast food joint you can think of build a franchise. The majority of the Iraqi population is under 30, and contrary to what many would have you believe, they LOVE western style clothing, food, music, and movies. The young guys always wanted things like car magazines, and would offer to trade you stuff for car parts. The older guys wanted p.o.r.n., or to trade you for stuff for their cars (they can't roll down to the local dealership). The other favorites were Rip Its (You have Rip It?), Pepsi's, and anything they think they can fix and use (throw out what you thought was broken, and see how fast it disappears).
