Cool view. I see the occasional Chinoook or Black Hawk over my town (especially during fire season), but I really miss seeing the Cobras flying at low level. You could hear them coming a looooong time before you ever saw them.

Have never seen Black Hawks or Cobras flying near here (used to see the old Hueys during VN era as Ft. Wolters was their big training area for new Huey pilots during Nam), but we used to see Chinooks almost every day here....as there are a couple military installations near, and one was used by US Chinook pilots to train pilots from Taiwan I believe. They would fly the same route every day near the same time. One of my old buddies I worked with flew Chinooks during the first Gulf War and trained those out of country pilots. He also was the pilot who transported in the big peace treaty signing table that Gen. Schwartzkopf signed the peace with Iraq at end of first Gulf war.

Back in the early 2000 I recall an exercise performed by our Marines while I was on vacations; some Hueys doing low fly coming from the sea with all the servicemen sat like the guys in this vid, open doors, again and again. The sound, the wonderful sound of those helos !!!!
