    Looks good to me.
Anyone used an ICS M4? How are they in build quality and internals?

If it is priced similar to Tokyo Mauri's AK47 I will definitly buy it.

I'm in love. To get an AK-74M with current materials costs about $700. If you can find all of the parts that is.

Of the 3 ICS M4's that my teammates have had, all 3 had problems with the two-peice mechbox design. Whether this manifested as improper feeding or the mechbox freezing up, only 1 guy is still using his and I'm not sure what he's done to it to remedy the issues. The other 2 are going back to TM.

Just in time, I'm about to buy an AK.

I read what you said above, but how good is ICS as a brand?

    I really want this gun!

Bits of it look good (most of the ones they have done close-ups of) but the stock is a modified Marui one and the pistol grip looks like an old Smokeys one slapped onto a prototype. The selector switch is a Marui one too. Apparently the receiver on this one is just a plastic box. I'm sure (I hope) it will improve slightly before release. I'll probably get one The bolt mechanism looks pretty cool.

Do you realize that you can get a real AK for less then that?

Do you realize that you could have written a post that actually contributed something to this discussion in less words than that?

Just a word of caution for you guys: as much as I want this gun, they don't say that ICS stands for "I can't shoot" for nothing.
Just keep this in mind, but I do hope that this gun will come out alright.

Agreed. Unless ICS makes an absolutely massive leap in quality with this weapon, I'd say to forget about it.

I thought ICS Mp5 were the best on the market?

No company makes higher quality AEG's than Tokyo Marui. However, Airsoft Elite makes very nice, full-metal MP5's. It's commonly misconceived that AE is affiliated with ICS, which is not the case, and I don't know why people think that.

Eh... ICS MP5s are the best on the market. Full metal body and just as reliable as TMs if you get a version 3 or 3.5. ICS M4 only had problems with the two piece gearbox system and decompression button. The decompression problem could be solved by getting a regular anti-reversal latch, but that would mean losing the decompression ability. As long as this AK has just a regular gearbox, it'll still be worth buying just to replace all the internals. I mean it'll come at almost half the price of a Guarder Kit. And that's just the kit itself.

Edit: AE takes ICS MP5s and upgrades them internally.
