I fly 4-6 times a year for fun and business. Everytime I have a problem with those pricks.
I once asked why I was being frisked by senior manager (after I started hip pumping and moaning while the guy was checking my nutsacks for a glock), she told me it was regulation. Told her I wanted to see the regulation, she told me she didn't have a copy of it there. Asked for the regulation number, she couldn't tell me. She gave me a complaint number to call. They don't even know what they are enforcing. morons the lot of them, and I make them as miserable as they make everyone else.
Caught a guy trying to pocket one of my spyderco's i forgot about in a carry on. Watched the turd for a solid 5 minutes at the coffee place. He picked up the knife out of the plastic bin they keep it at, and put it in his pocket. Went back and started yelling at him until the supervisor showed up, and then they made him put it in some magic bin and he went back to work.
I hate them all, I say that with a passion. They want to check my drink I am spilling it directly on them.
Albatross, that is some funny stuff. I hate those bastards too. Also, is being totally stupid part of the job requirement?
Airport security: Sir this is for your own safety *feels his crotch*
Passenger: Nononono. This security thing generally is for my own safety. This particular ten seconds is for everyone elses safety. I know I don't have a bomb in my boxer shorts. You're not going to say "sir there's an explosive device in your underwear" and I'm going to be like "Holy **** really?"
I've been hassled a few times. Once I was x-rayed twice. On purpose. They were like we have to do it again. I said no, once was enough and as I was locked in the machine, I couldn't get out and they did it again. I wasn't too happy as I have some conditions that could be worsened by radiation. On the way home though, a tall African American TSA dude, asked me if that happened and I said yes. He let me skip the scanner that time. Nice guy, I guess the Fort had a word with them he said. And he said sorry.
Thankfully I chosed NOT to make a stopover at Atlanta Airport next year, Delta Airlines + TSA = Nightmare!
Sydney Airport was ok time wise. A bit invasive.
Abu Dhabi was all laid back. They did the checks at the gate. Old mate manning the machine only asked if I was wearing a belt. No bag searches or anything.
Germany entering was like. Just walk through.
they tried. Didn't work out.

Israel does not have the airports or the number of employees TSA has.
I can understand the frustration, but......... look at what we are potentially dealing with. Most people are not suicidal, meaning if they where going to do something evil at the airport they want to be able to walk away. When you have people who want to be famous in the hear-after, that changes a lot of things. If they plan on blowing up a airline with everyone on board, they are willing to murder, babies, children, old people, any one. That means they are probably willing to use a baby, children, old people or anyone to deliver the weapon of choice. There are a lot of choices and methods.
I don't know what the answer is. I think there are problems and there is more we can do to make it better for flyers. I hope the decisions makers are up to the task.
Everybody just fly Etihad or Emirates. Problem solved!
