I am conducting research about US Navy special warfare units during WWII. I am trying to find out more about the infrared homing and recognition equipment they used for nighttime operations. This includes infrared signal lights and special goggles used to see them. Does anyone know of any literature that provides specific details and photographs of WWII era US Navy infrared equipment? Are there any surviving pieces of them on display somewhere?
