Guess that reporter didn't talk to James Stockdale, Jerm. Denton, and the others in the Alcatraz jail. Stockdale was said to have:
.... shoulders had been wrenched from their sockets, his leg shattered by angry villagers and a torturer, and his back broken.
plus his hearing was destroyed to where he had to wear hearing aids the rest of his life. ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Stockdale

commanding, you do know that this reporter is neither American nor able to tell the truth about torture etc. when standing knee deep in North Vietnam territory, surrounded by North Vietnamese soldiers, who expect you to tell just exactly what was told you by the North Vietnamese government? This video was more or less staged for propaganda purposes.

Sorry to be slow answering you friend, yes I knew the reporter is non-American (I think only Americans allowed there during war were maybe Jane Fonda and a few others, most were French, or European nationals), and yes I knew he was knee deep in NVA officials and troops. I freely admit it was propaganda film.
I just have a deep dislike for the NV govt, as I lost many friends to that war. Sorry, I just can't get over it. Call it a personality flaw.

Oh, the killer come and say they hate the victims because the victims had dared to fight against them.
Who was the original cause of the crime and massacre. You should blame your government for it. They were and are the war crimes.

No need to be sorry, commanding, I didn't know that the whole situation is a bit "personal" for you.

That would be your view, my view is a tad bit different.
