    Default Found Picture

    I found an old picture of PT 32 with a note on back to my Dad that is signed Joe
    It says that in battle he will be the machine gun person. Would this be Col Joe sheer?

    I want to know if this would be Col Joe sheer that I have read about?
    Does anyone know?
    It says he he would be working the machine gun

    Yes. Col Joe Sheer, of the US Army, was crew of USN PT32 and worked in the engine room and doubled by manning the machine gun at battle stations.

    Or maybe not.

    However, it's possible this "Joe" may have been present for the escape from Corregidor on PT32, which carried, among others, Col Sherr. This is a crew list of PT32 at that time:
