    Default FAMAS-M203

Pictures of the FAMAS fitted with the M203 are quite rare.

This one shows a member of the HALO Pn of the 1er RCP, a French airborne infantry Bn in Kosovo in 2004.

    Thanks Max !

Hm, never seen the 203 on the FAMAS. Certainly doesn't make it look any beter. I never did like the FAMAS.

I was referring to how it looks. If I'm gonna shoot a 5.56 I'll go with an M16/M4.

I just don't like bull-pups anyway. But yeah.

    agree. M16/M4 all the way.
I don't like how it looks too but IMHO it's one of the best european assault rifle.

So it performs well then? That's always important. Cool.

Did the makers of the famas ever consider putting a civilian version out?

There were actually two version released. The American market version, the MAS 223, was essentially a semi-auto version while the French market version, the FAMAS Civil, was modified to take .222 Remington and the barrel lengthened to 570mm.
