No idea. In case nobody here knows anything about it, you could try contacting Ian from forgottenweapons. He's incredibly knowledgeable about firearms.

Yeah NOT a semi auto pistol. it clearly has a selector switch, so a machine pistol.

    Interesting design
Uzi based mags and grip (minus the grip safety)
Reciprocating slide like the Polish PM-63

I did some googling as this looked interesting.

There was an R9 Arms located in the US, now defunct.

I take it you know about this

@T3ngu I know about his Trial in court.
Total of 8 have now been found at several places during 2012-2014

if even the ATF doesn't know anything about it, it defenitely was never made in the US.

8 of these have shown up in Holland alone? Could it be someone's knocking them together in a garage somewhere?
Australia has had a lot of that in recent years, some of the products have been quite good as well. The fact that they are marked in a way that seems sensible, as opposed to some kind of chinglish, could mean its being used as a simple forensic countermeasure.

Weird that there is no mention of it at all when you google, not exactly common.

Looks like a CZ.26 and RAK machine pistol had a baby. From the rough welds inside, guessing a batch of prototypes that ended up in the wrong hands or very high quality garage made.?! Threaded barrel is a nice touch.

Not made in the US, otherwise it would have a city & state by "USA", and while it does have an auto selector- it's possible that it's non functionable. Looks like a higher end garage made example but that's obviously a guess as I've never seen anything like it before. Who was caught with it? (Drugs / Biker etc?)

Pistol is semi and full auto, tested it shoots perfect.
Forensic wise it has been checked over and over, also international and in the direction eastern Europe.
So far nobody has seen one.
Complete weapon has similarities with other 'garage' made weapons so direction of Joegoslavia is correct.
Mainly found involving with gang related crimes and drugs.

It possesses none of the markings required by licensed manufacturers/importers in the US.
The fore end is using a part marked with the Walther scroll. LE can easily determine if Walther has been contracted to supply such a part to another manufacturer.

Based on the foregoing I'm guessing it's a garage made piece.

Could be taken out of the chain before it got a number but since nobody seems to have ever seen something similar the chance that it's some backyard shop's work is great.
The Walther thing is a CP99 laser. It has a serial number but I'm not sure if these get recorded and are really tracable.

What is interesting if you're searching for R9-Arms some products from a company called Excel Arms show up that bare some similarities to this pistol like for example how the product names are milled in.

Excel arms use a very different operating system than this. like you say they share a similar marking style

Interesting the operating parts are quite similar to the M1 Carbine and Garand type hammer

That inside pic shows the rough and uneven lines from a table top mill. The uneven bend of the sheet metal mag well and lots of hand file work has me 98% sure they are top of line garage made, black market specials. Have any of them been found with suppressors? The Walther laser looks like the same cheapo Chinese one that comes on crappy Co2 Walmart BB pistols.
