I have a question about the two kind of desert you have been (sands and rocky) wich one do you accomodate better during the various part of the mission? I served the IDF and made my basic training in the negev who is close similar to Jordan desert, lot of small wadi (valley) ideal to hide a complete company, night sky full of stars making navigation easy! But I never was in a sand desert like Kuwait one, what the difference?

Not trying to take the piss, but how is that a deployment? You go to Morocco, Jordan and Kuwait, for training exercises, right?
Would've thought a deployment meant actually being deployed to, for instance, Afghanistan or Iraq?
