    I misread it as Gerry Adams for a second and was quite elated. The reality was much more tragic

    My condolences to his family and friends..

    Gerry Anderson...author of these..Thunderbirds are Go!!, Supercar, Fireball XL5.. among others.

    Supercar and Fireball XL5 were favorites of mine when I was a kid..50 years ago.

    Though Thunderbirds were my favorite, all the Anderson stuff was great when I was a kid and started my interest in model building. I still have Thunderbirds Are Go on my PS3.

    Sure the puppets were a bit sucky, but the machines rocked... as a kid it was pure goodness.

    It was also a sign of the age, everything was atomic powered.

    hell, they even got our accent right
