Is it confirmed to be the IRIS-T SLS? Any information on what launching system to be used with it?
Just before christmas the government approved the procurement of a shortrange air defence system, the IRIS-T SLS, called Robot (Rb) 98 in Sweden. The system is to replace the ~40 year old Rb 70 system. The estimated cost is no less then 1 biljon SEK (~€110m/~$145mUS).

It's about time we get an update of our air defence system, even though it's just a SHORAD it's a good start and hopefully bodes well for future procurements.

Well not really, it is confirmed that it will be the land based version of the IRIS-T. Since it is supposed to replace the Rb70 it is unlikely to be the medium range SL version specially when concidering that it has the same designation (Rb98) as the A2A version and the SLS is unmodified.
So this is the short range System using the unmodified IRIS-T:

Makes sense from a logistic point of view to use the same missiles as the fighter carries. However the medium range system using larger rocket motor is compatible:

Just buy and load the larger missile and you have medium range.
