I think it should be the time to stop calling this phenomenon "Al-Qaida", since this name wrongly leads to believe it's about an organization (with central command structure, political agenda, etc.), while it's about an ideology - a Sunni Islamic radical ideology of Jihad, that doesn't' have a central command and cant be defeated by eliminating the "leaders". Because there are no real leaders, there is just Qur'an and Sharia law.

Didn't you get the memo that only the Shia extremist groups are now considered "terrorists", while the Sunni Wahhabis are "revolutionary partners"?

that was just my thought. Leave it as it is, build a big wall around it and any jihadist willing can go in - no way out allowed. May they have their islamist paradise in the desert and leave the rest of the world alone.

Ideological segregation? Or the biggest ghetto ever? I don't think such things could happen in the 21st century.

    ...

OK, thank you for ruining a GOT reference with your seriousness...

But anyway, if they want a space in the desert for their backward and retrograde ideology, they should left to do so, and leave the rest of the world at peace.

BUT, their ideology being to conquer the world, do, do you want these people to have a place to rule ? Look at Afghanistan, or Yemen.

It is time for an intervention and we shall see if France has any balls to lead a UN/AU/French intervention to kill these salafisavages. I guess most these guys are not native people of Mali. I spoke to a Pakastani friend of mine he told me he blames the violence in Pakistan on Saudi Arabia. They sponsor madrassas with lots of cash and it brainwashes young ******ly frustrated muslim men to fight jihad against the Pakistani state. Saudi Arabia is a funny country. They seem to clamp down hard to on sunni extremist groups at home but support them abroad. Saudi Arabia seems to enjoy exporting its problem so the jiahdis do not think to overthrow the royal family. They just export would jihadis in combat zones so they never come back.
