Remarkable lack of pictures to back up their claims.

They have been claiming for over several months now that he is making steady recovery and he is grasping and shaking the hand of the VP with firm strength, but if he is that well enough he should be well enough to have a camera team visit and give a view of the beloved President from his hospital bed showing him waving to his people.. Instead they are keeping him out of sight and hidden away with only the inner circle reportedly meeting and talking with him.

Or are they busy building the golden throne that will keep Chavez in a state of near life and become a beacon for all of South America.

I suppose they are begging time. Something very strange on this. Are they waiting for the plastic surgery on the body and face double to heal?

Here, the odds that Hugo is dead are going up for every day the fat-Commie does not show himself. I think they are over four to one against him being alive now. His Veep must be in agony.

Cut some slack of El Presidente, he might be alive, on respiratory machine.

Also if he is dead the VP cannot be VP since he only hold office as long as Hugo is alive and the swearing in ceremony was delayed until time that Hugo was able to do it. Second is it the same as here in America where the VP could only become president if Hugo had been officially sworn in for a second term before he died which to my knowledge that has not happened.

Also the fact they are keeping Hugo in Cuba Isolated with no access from press from his own country just seems to indicate something is up..

read a rumor that in china someone tasked to print tons of merchandise with "maduro presidente",maduro being the current vicepresident, who had read a 20 page long letter supossedly writen by chavez himself, which has made various venezuelan oposition personalities to ask why chavez doesnt not make a phone call if he can write something so long

    so obviously something is fishy

TeleSur has been reporting dayly for months that Hugo Chavez has overcomed a health issue and that the current goverment is operating within the constitution. What I think is they are buying time in hopes he gets able to speak without showing obvious signs of brain damage.

What can the Venezuelan opposition do at this point? At most, they can start a constitutional crisis, and it would be very much warranted.

So do you guys think would happen? I doubt the Chavistas will just go quietly
