sorry, but why was the "Iraqi perspective" thread merged with the "iranian perspective" thread? They are DIFFERENT topics entirely and intended to show DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES... since the thread posters previously never had any intention of showing "both" perspectives the "neutral" thread title they used was deliberately deceptive...

It is a video/photo thread. If it was a discussion thread, than maybe you might have a point. Also other members has commented about having two threads about the same war.

That’s not true. It is well documented from US and Iraqi sources that the Stark strike was by a Mirage F1 that was flying one of the first missions with two Exocets underwing in place of a single under the fuselage. The Iraqi pilot was having such a hard time flying it that is it generally believed this is why he missed all the warning signals and attacked the US warship.

PS Great pictures but, keep em coming!

Certainly not much of what we come here for. There are over thirty minutes of talking heads, and the short clips of actual troops are repeated several times.

    Here look what I found:

An Iraqi movie from 1984 about the Iran-Iraq war, some subtitles in french if you are lucky. The quality is average...
The first scene reminds me of the beginning of Cross of Iron!
Too much propaganda of course, but the equipment is original and most of the scenes were filmed on the front!
