Another week ended with winter training for units from "Black Division". Training near Żagań just ended for 1st Batalion of motorized infantry from 17th Wielkopolska mechanized brigade, and already on forest roads you can hear engines of Leopard tanks from Świętoszów (10th Armored Cavalry Brigade).

This is not 17th Mechanised Brigade as they do not use Leopard 2's, this is 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade.

The two-week exercise in Otterburn, Northumberland, has tested 1600 soldiers from 18 British Regular and Reserve regiments alongside members of the 35 (French) Regiment Air Parachutiste. The aim of the exercise was to prepare units for future operations, including being part of contingency forces such as the Airborne Task Force or Commando-led elements. SULU SEA, Philippines (Feb. 26, 2013) Sailors from Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit ONE and U.S. Navy contracted salvage crew members from the M/V Jascon 25 safely removes the exhausts funnel structure from mine countermeasures ship USS Guardian (MCM 5), which ran aground on the Tubbataha Reef Jan. 17. The funnel's removal was a milestone in the dismantling process of the Guardian. The U.S. Navy and contracted salvage teams are safely dismantling and removing the ship from Tubbataha Reef. The U.S. Navy continues to work in close cooperation with the Philippine authorities to safely dismantle Guardian from the reef while minimizing environmental effects. SULU SEA (Feb. 24, 2013) The mine countermeasures ship USS Guardian (MCM 5), which ran aground on Tubbataha Reef Jan. 17, getting hit by heavy waves. The U.S. Navy and contracted salvage teams continue damage assessments and the removal of equipment and parts to prepare the grounded ship to be safely dismantled and removed from Tubbataha Reef. NORFOLK (Feb. 20, 2013) The Office of Naval Research-sponsored Situational Awareness System (SAWS) installed on the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) prior to their deployment, uses two Electro-Optic/Infrared sensors placed forward and aft of the ship's island to provide 360 degree surveillance capability.
