Too bad all the rifles that come close to being better than the AR-15 also come with reciprocating charging handles, foldable stocks of limited utility, or oversized handgaurds. Sometimes all three.

I really wish AR manufacturers would start switching to slim, light handguards that allow you to attach pieces of picatinny rail where you need it instead of having it for the entire length of the handgaurd on all four quadrants. It should be rail for the length of the 12 o'clock and attachable pieces for the 3, 6 and 9.

A lot of foreign input they do hire a lot of internationals for engineering contract jobs. Good looking rifle but still a lot of influence and assistance from abroad is its obvious.

i agree, however did like to know who designed it. The gun itself look very similar to what is available around the world.

This rifle will surely replace the algerian military's old locally made akm because Caracal has built a new factory here. They'll also produce caracal pistols, shotguns, grenade launchers, caracal cc10, CSR, 23mm machine-gun....

U meant to say that the Algerian will replaced the AKM with Car-8016? No other competitor?
