http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/...cat-sized-ratsRats have been a problem for many years in Tehran. As the BBC reported in 2000, officials back then launched a poison control program that they hoped would kill many of the estimated 25 million rats in the city.
Well, now there are reports that the poison isn't working that well and that the rat population still outnumbers the Iranian capital's humans. So, as The Times of London and Abu Dhabi's The National report, sniper squads have been deployed.
RAT death squad.
Rats are quite nasty. Our domesticated cats are generally too degenerated (= lazy lame wimps) to successfully fight rats. Even if they could find enough spetsnaz cats for the job, that would just replace the rat problem with a cat problem (and then you would have to find really cold-hearted mothe*****s to snipe cats)
Snipers are a poor way to battle rats as they are mostly subterrain creatures. However there are multiple dog breeds that were raised with specific intent to fight the rats, but we know how muslim zealots feel about canines.
Useless, Qatar and the Saoudis will equip the rats with Croatian military surplus and Manpads
What about releasing some unharmful snake?
I read the other day The US is dropping toxic mice in Guam to combat the snake infestation , maybe in Tehran they should reverse it and drop toxic snakes to rid it of rats.
heh the RAF Regiment used to deal with Lossiemouths seagull problem in a similar fashion.
