Swiss woman 'gang-raped' in central India

The woman was camping with her husband at a village in Datia district on Friday during a cycling trip when they were attacked by seven or eight men.
The assailants overpowered the husband before gang-raping his wife.
The victim, who is reported to be 39 years old, has been admitted to hospital in Gwalior. She is conscious and has spoken to the authorities.
I hope the criminals who did this get done in soon.

Well media visibility does not necessarily correlate with the real quantity of crime. Like most gang-rapes mentioned in the media here happen in Sweden.

According to theatlanticwire, government statistics show that a woman is raped every 20 mins in India. They say that conviction rate is one of the lowest in the world
Not really. Its just that the people and the media are getting very sensitive to this most heinous of crimes hence a lot of talk about these rapes. The people shook the Government at its root after the Delhi rape case.
Hope justice is delivered swiftly.
Oh, jesus never mind my claim then. That is ridiculous. I bought into the other Indian members on this forum saying "Oh, no it is just media saying we have lots of rape, it is just the media."
