*Big* Medieval buff here, have always wanted to go to such festivals - if you do go, please post some pictures!

I wanted to get in to that sort of reenacting (have a William Marshall replica sword), but have always been short of the cash..

Thanks, man! Some real great pictures!

In your first series, next to the Templar, the guy with the black hood, was his surcoat Templar or Teutonic?

Chain mail and coifs are the best IMO.

Was there medieval music and dancing? Were there vendors? You buy anything?

Seriously, I appreciate you uploading the pix

    Lovely, thanks for sharing.
It's a pity the stereotype of the Middle Ages as an overly dark and violent era can't be eradicated from people's minds - even though it's been known for decades that Protestant scholars in an effort to discredit the Catholic Church painted a distorted picture of that period.
The Early Modern Age was much worse.

    Looks great !

I absolutely admire blacksmiths. As a matter of facts, I always wondered why former Spanish colonies donīt have festivals like that, considering Spainīs history of battles and castles.

Hmmm ... itīs true that with modern times new and even more terrible events arrived, but middle ages were indeed dark times,
