Mrblah: Awesome loadout! Do you have two different Safariland holsters or how did you place that 6004(?) to belt?

How do you find crouching with it there? Does the hilt not jab you anywhere?

alezi: Same 6004, but I bought a safariland 1/2 drop belt adapter so you can mount it to the belt if you like and with just enough clearance for armor. I personally like it better on the belt, but for pics, I use the regular dropleg mount.

Angel: yea, its a crkt first strike. Its actually fits fine on the 6004, the skull spike doesn't poke me or anything. It is a bit awkward to mount anywhere else. Its too large to mount on my armor and the spike digs when I belt mount it. If you are contemplating this knife, buy the smaller version. This one is too big.

Already bought one! I'm having trouble finding somewhere to mount it properly. I use a cordura holster instead of a SL, so shroud mounting is a bit more difficult.

    Thanks for the reply.

    hi peeps,

just looking for your input on 'south african assault vest' (pics attached) Looks to me like a nice 'starter rig' as me and a few mates are thinking of taking up airsoft. Looking forward to see if any of you have used/are using this as i'm interested to know how practical it is.

I'd steer waay clear of crossdraw vests...

    Go modular (MOLLE/Malice) right away.
1, you buy exactly what you need, no more no less
2, if you change setup you might just need to tweak the gear
3, resale value on MOLLE gear is a LOT higher than on non MOLLE gear
4, not many people will actually even buy the type of vest you or "amazing kg3" suggested...

I have one of those SAAV knockoffs. Absolute dogsh!t. I would rather burn the money than buy another one.

When I put 2 M4 mags in the double M4 mag pouches, the pouch stuck to my mags horribly. I had to cut the pouches to get my mags out. I paid $10 for mine, from a friend who never used it. I use it as my loaner vest.

And really, you don't have to have stacks-o-cash for a decent MOLLE platform. Here are two fairly good examples:

^Is it just me, or am I the only man left on Earth who wears a STRIKE vest?
