Egyptian army/CSF definitely have made good crossroads against the Jihadist insurgency. Last month the country seemed on the brink of total civil war, but that has been averted for now.

The attack on Kerdasa left one killed who was General Nabil Ferag who is filmed in the following Footage. He was shot in the beginning of the attack at the suburbs of Kerdasa. The murderer was unidentified nor arrested. The town showed no resistance. The militant groups who massacred 11 Policemen on the 14th of Aug seems disappeared. No key figures had been arrested during yesterday raid.

Why isn't the dear general in uniform? Why isn't anyone in uniform for that matter?

Rest In Peace to the General. I hope those who murdered him is caught along with those who murdered those other policemen.

Thank you for the clarification. I'm behind a firewall at a job site waiting for an approval and can't access video sites at the moment.

Kerdasa recent tragedy started during January 2011, when the town rebels attacked the Police station which represented the Regime. During their demonstrations many of the town citizens were shot by the station police members to prevent them storming the station. After the outset of Mubarek , the station crew ,like many other Egyptian towns police stations forces, were prosecuted for killing January uprising protesters.

None of these police stations troops was convicted. All were released later by the courts as none was proved of committing homicide . This left bitter feelings within the killed protesters families. Among these were Kerdasa citizens.

Their revenge chance took place after the outset of Mursi when the Police stormed MB supporters Sit-In on the 14th of August killing 400 individuals. Kerdasa ,which is rated a strong hold for the Islamist militants , showed strong demonstrations against the transitional government. The town Militants seized the opportunity & attacked the local police force with far superior weapons & numbers. While many of the stations policemen succeeded in fleeing the station after changing their uniforms with civilian clothes, others failed in their try. Among these was the station commander & 10 other officers / soldiers. These were executed later in cold blood.

The following Videos show the final moments in the life of these 11 policemen when they were interrogated by the attackers & then being killed.

One of the main targets of yesterday raid is to capture those who took part in the 14th of Aug massacre.
