Default Family Guy - Vinny the new family dog.

Family Guy: Brian Griffin dies after being hit by a car

Brian, one of the most-loved central characters on animated TV comedy Family Guy, was hit by a car and killed in Sunday night's episode, 'Life Of Brian'.

Voiced by the show's creator Seth MacFarlane, Brian had been a key part of past storylines and gags. Best friend and baby genius Stewie tried in vain to go back in time and save him but was unable to after disassembling his time machine.

personally, I am thinking it is a publicity stunt. Kill him, let people talk for a couple weeks, then Stewie builds a new time machine and all is normal. The new dog Vinnie sucks anyway.

Brian is confermed to be in at least one of this season's upcoming episodes, so I'm guessing your right..

R.I.P. Brian. I can think of 1/2 a dozen ways to bring him back though.

Notice the last sentence in Fox's official summary of the December 15th episode:
When Carter Pewterschmidt cancels the annual Quahog Christmas carnival, because he hates the holiday, Peter must transform his father-in-law from a Scrooge into a hometown hero in order to salvage the event. Meanwhile, Stewie devises a master plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas.

Brian was old for a 14 year old dog. He died at the right time for a pet.

I would hope they bring Brian back, even if it is only by popular demand. Show just won't be the same if they don't...

    Spoiler:

[*******#ffffff]The actor playing / speaking Vinnie has a contract for 8 episodes only, plus there is a leaked plot on the net that shows Brian will be back after that.[/COLOR]
