    not trying to side on anyone here, but military people here in the United States active or retired are serious about those insignias. All of them earned them thru hard work and personal sacrifices (damn some of them even saw a buddy die or even came close to death while earning those insignias and patches)
    They have given a lot for freedom and for them to wear those patche is a PROUD moment and HONOR for them.

    This is the reason why other people question others about their patches, it is not being rude or anything, it is just a sign of courtesy to those who have served. (It is even a felony here in the US to be caught wearing fake medals during official [military] ceremonies)If you served and earned them, by all means wear them as proud as you want, but if you are a poser - you are looked down upon like a scumbag....

    But if you have earned those stripes or patch then congratulations i take my hat off for you.

    For Snake Eyes, I'm completly agree with your Words, we don't use any insignia, only the Country Flag of the original Uniform.
