Well uh,since they are snipers, and snipers are generally far from those targets, I'm sure if you looked in their direction from 200ft away you'd think it was nothing more than a bush.Originally Posted by DnA

WALL-BODY-WEAPON
IE if the wall is on his right, as it is, his rifle/carbine/whatever should be mounted on his left shoulder, so he can scan as he moves in. Might sound trivial to some, but it draws less fire, especially in that "fatal funnel" (the doorway). Overall, it also exposes less of your body to enemy fire, regardless of whether it's airsoft or real (airhard).
Just trying to help! Obviously I can't know for sure how the room is, since I wasn't there.
EDIT: PS: Is that your ATL (Assistant Team Leader) on the right side of the doorway?
thx for you info! actually i dont know much about CQB...Originally Posted by MrSkorotsnoy

No problem. I try to help when I can (rarely) without coming off as an a$$hole.Originally Posted by danny.r
I don't know much about CQB, but from my experience, as limited as it is, you apply the basics, and train until you don't ever need to think. Everything a reaction, including ID'ing whether some dude has a weapon or not.
I was taught that at infantry school. Than when i got to my unit, and hearing about guys who came back from Iraq saying just shoot with the hand your strongest with and don't even use wall-body-weapon. Everyone trains diffrently i guess, i never switch up unless im shooting around a corner thats opposite my right.Originally Posted by MrSkorotsnoy
they taught us dont use wall body weapon because when you are moving down a street or something you look arcoss the street to cover the guys on the other side, and vice versa they cover above your head.
That's true about covering high targets. As far as hallways and entry though, I've always seen W-B-W and used it to better effect in training. Only had one problem when my buddy capped my squad, hiding in the rafters in a building in MOUT McKenna in Benning. Oops, didn't clear high.
I switch shoulders when I'm out in the middle of nowhere, and say, I'm turning a corner on a road, with the inside corner being a hill. That, and if you gotta get small behind something big and solid.
For airsoft purposes, you can take, say, two members of your stack / fireteam, and have them cover roofs and high windows by default. The rest can cover the ground-level up to ceiling targets. Switch to W-B-W once you enter the buidling. At least that's what I'd do. I'd probably get capped again though.

The problem with this stack is that you are liable to take blue-on-blue if someone steps out the doorway. If an enemy stands inbetween the guys on the left and the guy on the right, who shoots? Who gets shot from misses and overpenetration?Originally Posted by danny.r
No can do... Because I wasn't even 'killed' five times that day! Let alone by him all the time!Originally Posted by jokke
