Default Classic Army vs. Tokyo Marui

I come to you guys in a "time of need" (IE so I can waste money)

I am sick of searching, and I kinda need a fast answer, as I'm about to buy one of these two SMG's. It's down to these two:

-Classic Army MP5SD6 (Whichever they call it, basically the SD with collapsible stock, all metal upper reciever etc)
    -Tokyo Marui MP5SD6

    Pros - Cons
    TM:
    -Reliable
    -Easy to fix (sorta)
    -Reliable!

    -Plastic body
-Broken cocking tube parts, even if you don't play with it much

    CA:
    -Metal body
    -Higher stock velocity
    -More metal parts overall :P

    -Heard they aren't as reliable
    -Not TM

I've had a crapload of AEG's before, and they were all Tokyo Marui. I've got alot of experience with my friends TM MP5A5, and I love how it is so portable, but I really want something with a metal body, preferably without dishing out an extra $200 for one on top of the original price on the gun itself. I just got a metal body for my M16A4, and wow, it really does make it feel like I can use it as intended, instead of babying it!

What experiences do any of you dudes have with the Classic Army MP5's? I hear about different versions, like "3.5ver" or some crap, but I dunno much about them. If it ends up real bad, I'll go with the standard: Tokyo Marui.

Anyway, I found this site to have far more mature people than ASR, so I thought I might have a chance with some serious, honest-to-God responses here, as opposed to hearing kids ask me if I'm trying to look like Delta or SEALs or Elian Gonzales or something.

    Thanks guys.

    Classic Army

I own one of the latest series and got no problems with it. Gotta love this metal-body ....

In some days i'm gonna change a part inside, let's see how difficult it'll be

I had a CA MP5SD with full stock. I loved how it felt, a good almost heavy weight, very sturdy, you didnt have to worry about it hitting a tree and breaking apart. But in the 2 months i had it, i never used it in a game, and only shot it around the house, but I had to have it repaired twice, once for gears, and i dont remember what the other was, so while it was pretty cool, id definatly get a TM over anything, no matter what gun, TMs are always more reliable.

Go buy a TM then buy an aftermarket metal body for it. You joined airsoft and everyone knows its not cheap, so either buy a metal body for your TM gun or buy a CA gun and replace almost everything inside.

    Haha that sounds bad, BastardChild!

Yeah maybe I'll stick with the TM. Crap.

My friend bought an ICS MP5 RIS, and that thing just sucked so bad. Nearly everything fell off it right when we got it to his house. He hadn't played but for about 10 minutes and it broke. The new ones are probably better, but eh, maybe I'll stick to TM.

    Thanks for the input, guys.

Well I'm being straight forward with you dude :P

My ak47s is 4 years old, and seen numerous skirmishes with various owners (bone stock of course). Now shes getting a 100 series stock kit and is getting some love n tlc, shes my baby.

I also own a Tm Mp5a4 with a CA aftermarket reciever/cocking tube, very solid.

    P.s. your Elian Gonzales ?

    That I am.

Elian Gonzales in referance to how the guys who grabbed that little bitch and took him away were armed with MP5's, but if I'm wrong, I don't care. I think they were. (Gotta be careful, cause if I'm wrong, I'll get assaulted by Chairborne Commandos!)

I scrapped the entire idea of the MP5. I've got somethign in that realm of usefullness with a CAR15 (XM177).

Yeah, CAR15's with short barrels are neato. Mine has the 11.5 inch barrel with 5 inch flash suppressor or whatever it is, and it's ALL PLASTIC BABY! Creakin' around! I strap it to the side of my rucksack so I may use it in CQB.

I like TM guns as they are super reliable and being an airsofter I am out for praticality and TMs quality has never failed me

Go for TM and a lighter gun is easier to use.

how many times we will repeating this?

    i 'll say last time
i saw in my life only 4 AEG's seriously failures
3 of them were TM (one ICS)

is this prove anything?? NOTHING is this prove that TM is a piece of crap?? NO!!
that is prove there is no rule!
if u have bad luck your AEG will broke anyway
and if you have luck and you'll take care of your AEG it should work for ages

BTW so many CA Aegs in my team and no single problem with it
