That's one of the few roles I have liked Sean Penn in. He's better portraying unlikable weaselly guys like Daulton from The Falcon and the Snowman.

seeing the band perform this song live, it started with total darkness in the stadium with white strobes flashing every so often to the soundmix of cannons, gunfire and explosions. The stage wallpaper was a WW1 battlefield filled with craters, but you could only see it with the flashing strobes. Then Bruce recites a poem called "Anthem For Doomed Youth" by Wilfred Owen. Meanwhile the shellsounds and flashes continue but the band hasn't appeared. Then at the last stanza the ambient gunfire fades and enters Adrian...
