    ^ @Buck James Rogers:

None of your Flickr pics are showing anylonger, which is a pity. Hotlinking is against forum rules anyway.

Old video (1942) of LDF parade in Dublin:
    http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=22600

Various shots show soldiers of the 42nd Rifle Battalion lined up on a parade
ground and marching to St. Andrew's Church (Westland Row) in Dublin. The 45th
Rifle Battalion march past Custom House Quay to the saluting base. Crowds of
spectators watch the troops march along.
Seems to be loads of old stock there, here's a 1961 deployment to Congo

Departure of 34th Irish Battalion to the Congo from Dublin, Eire (Southern
    Ireland, Republic of Ireland).

Various shots troops getting out of
lorries. Various shots soldiers handing over their overcoats. Various shots US
airman instructs the troops on how to use lifejacket before they board an
aeroplane. Various shots soldiers boarding aeroplane.

    Date on dope
    sheet is 10/01/1961.
Another vid of departing for congo, US airlifters shown

Photo-article from Swedish armed forces web regarding NBG signoff ceremony in Cork today. Couple of pics on the link, maybe google-translate for the story but basically it's a round of thank you's and some info that the ISTAR unit while not deployed for EU did do national tasks during the standby period such as the UK queen and US President visits.

As I have seen with several other operators of the Steyr AUG, most have the option of including an underbarrel grenade launcher, but few actually do. Are there any examples of Irish soldiers actually equipped with a UGL?
