I also heard two names; one is the official Coyote brown which they got off of a special Ralf Lauren (Polo Clothing maker)paint name and the other is called Mojave green, but they are the same color.
Coyote is the color in Desert region and mojave is the color it turns into in more wooded or jungle regions
    Hope that helps, .

I'm certain that "coyote brown" and "olive mojave" are absolutely the same color. "Coyote brown" is the official name, but on some commercial websites they call it "olive mojave" (like here). Don't know why, maybe it's because they think it sounds better.

I think olive mojave sounds more multifuntional, mojavi is usually associated with a desert, olive is a green color. Maybe thats it????

Olive green is cosidered a universal color and wheb you are in the desert for a while it will actually change a little as it is exposed to dirt and sand.
Coyote brown was conceived as universal as well. The Marines wanted a scheme that would fit both types of Marpat. If you have noticed, the Woodland pattern really doesn't work that good in arid climates!
