I recommend HSGI or TT
I just got a Sig 220. I want to buy a dropleg holster for it. What does everybody recomend. I really was thinking about the Blackhawk Omega but, it's on back order until March. Thanks for your help.
I recommend HSGI or TT
I have a Blackhawk drop-leg holster for my Mark 23. I love it.
Safariland 6004 definately, if don't need to have flap over your gun that is. SLS system is much superior to normal thumb break strap and offers better protection against accidental 'unholstering'. Also the molded leg shroud is a big plus when moving about.
Just bought my own after a belt hung holster, and I really couldn't bring me to buy any other one even when I tried to find alternatives.

Yep go with the Safariland 6004. Make sure you specify if your P220 has a light rail or not. The Blackwater is Ok in a pinch but the Safariland is the way to go.
TP
Safariland really needs to offer it in a theater-neutral flat brown. Then it would be even better.
I really like the Bianchi COBRA system, but it's very similar design compared to the Safariland. I think either is a good choice.
I think that a rigid panel is the best way to go in a dropleg - it's been my experience that it does not move around as much as the "strap" holsters. I am sure some other folks may have had different experiences.
They offer it in single colour olive drab and dark earth brown.Originally Posted by JTAR7242

So they do. Interesting I'd not seen that until now. To me, black stands out too much on light colors, and unless you specifically want something high visibility, it's not the way to go. Flat browns are much better because they are more mixed terrain appropriate.

I use a Safariland 6004 as well. It's great.
Safariland 6004 rulezzzzz

Safariland 6004. If you really are going to be roughing it, make sure to get the lock. Mine has the standard safety catch and is more than enough for my uses, but associates that have gone to rougher terrain places have mentioned that they liked the extra security...Another hint that adds to stability is to make sure your hand can cup the muzzle end of the holster with your arm at the natural hang, this will improve & quicken your draw stroke, helps the rig from flopping around on your leg.
SOE dropleg holster....lifetime warranty as many others do..and they custom their holsters to ur specific model...and handmade down here in san diego![]()
