Indeed that picture should have had a graphic warning thingy,
very poignant indeed .
Whats the story behind this picture?
What kind of weapons are those?
What kind of gun is this?
The rocket launcher on the left is a Yugoslav-made M79 Osa taken from the Serb Army. The one on the right is an Armburst anti-tank rocket supplied by the Albanian Army. What kind of weapons are those
Thats a 12.7mm DShK machine gun, probably Chinese-made, from the Albanian Army. What kind of gun is this?
Albania has an army??????
HEj easy, my friend....Originally Posted by 4nzix

Don`t start or you will destroy good thread, you know how balkans people are when they start argument and coments like yours are just right "spice" to inflame them.

As far as I remember Serbian Unit for Special Operations JSO was disbanded after the clashes in Macedonia ended.Originally Posted by Ike

Armbrust is simmilar, but it is a lighter and single use weapon that emits no flash and smoke when fired, just a loud bang. That's why it can be fired from enclosed spaces such as buildings, rooms and vehicles. It was heavily used in every conflict on the ex-YU teritory, because it was purchased abroad by slovenian and croatian teritorial army after the Yugoslav army locked away the arsenals of these two forces in 1990 and 1991 under the pretence of proper safekeeping and maintenance.
I am pretty sure that this one is a fake. I can remember that i saw the original pic somewhere in this forum. When i look at the equipment i guess that these guys are from the german SEK (Sondereinsatzkommando).
Kapedani,
you call for order and good behavior in this "political-rant" sensitive thread and this is why I think the following comment you made concerning a very graphic picture is very improper:
Serb soldier killed in his vehicle by KLA sniper (rated PG-13...sorry RSK but you'r not old enough) ...not god behavior!
Otherwise this is a very interesting thread.

no offence, buyt this guy looks way too professional to be an Albanian fighter
Also German intelligence supplied large numbers of these weapons to the anti-Serb combatents. Albania got plenty of these already since 1994...even though we weren't fighting. The weapons in use by KLA certainly are those supplied to the Albanian Army.It was heavily used in every conflict on the ex-YU teritory, because it was purchased abroad by slovenian and croatian teritorial army after the Yugoslav army locked away the arsenals of these two forces in 1990 and 1991 under the pretence of proper safekeeping and maintenance.
Perhaps...but I'll believe it when I see the "original" picture first...if there is such a picture. AKSH Special Operations units are just as well equipped with western weaponry and buddy armor. This picture...if it is AKSH...was certainly taken in 2000-2001...not during the war. Since then the KLA, NLA and AKSH have undertaken a large rearmament program with more modern equipment and armor, preparing just in case of another war. If you look at some other pictures of NLA and AKSh fighters I posted...you'll note many of them are just as well equipped. There is nothing special about his equipment. MP5s can be easily found either from the Albanian Army or captured from Serbs or bought in the west freely. Kevlar helmets and armor also easy to get...and as was evident from the NLA, their Military Police units were equipped with advanced communication gear. Thanks for clearing it up, i was really baffled

Also please make sure to differentiate...these are not Albanian ARMY pictures of personel...they are of fighting men in Kosova or Macedonia. The Albanian Army was not involved...at least directly with soldiers.
Maybe not...but he had it coming. Its not good behavior to say many of the things said here about what I posted...but I'v let them go. The picture was graphic...yes...but no more than many others posted here.you call for order and good behavior in this "political-rant" sensitive thread and this is why I think the following comment you made concerning a very graphic picture is very improper:

Hehe...funny. Perhaps you should ask the Serbian Army...they met them "once or twice" in battle. Yes we do...and quite a good one...but this isn't the place for such a discussion.Albania has an army??????

What is interesting about this picture of an UCPMB soldier is that he appears to be carrying an Albanian-made "Type C" weapon...this being an Albanian derrivative of the Type-56 which is little known and of which very few pictures even exist.
UCPMB soldiers at a headquarter building
UCPMB soldier inside his looted home
UCPMB commander holding press conference
What kind of a gun is this guy carrying?? UCPMB soldier
