My dad has a Romanian SKS and my brother has a Yugo SKS and the Romanian IMO is far superior to the yugo one...wood, metal, craftmanship, everything.

The Zastava's are some f*cking primo AK's. M70B2's and such. I'd pay $500 for one... California cool-firearm-starvation factors aside!

I put 770rds through my $125 Zastava (Yugo) M59 SKS in about 10 minutes or whatever (just fast, I did't have a watch), and it did fine. Still looks fine.... minus the crispy fore-end.

    Zastava makes good stuff.

on some other thread about 1911's someone said you could use a spent .45 casing as a "replacement" for the recoil spring cap. I was cleanin out my Springfield GI and i decided to try it out. Of course i'll never ever fire the gun like this, it looks cool...kinda. u can see the firing pin and stuff in the pic too. and my psp

    and yes...i'm asian.

Here's a Romanian AKM I built myself. I've got about $250 into it. It shoots great.

Nice AK. Did you stain the wood yourself? I was thinking of doing it to mine. I want to put a slant muzzle on it but mine is welded.

^That looks sweet, you did a real nice job.

    I take it it's a part kit?

Yes it's a Romy G kit on a NDS-3 receiver. I refinished the wood using a mixture of Rit dye. Golden Yellow, Scarlet Red, with a little Brown. I then put 6 coats of tung oil on it.

Did you buy the receiver made, or make it your self?

I got the receiver from www.nodakspud.com $55. The parts kit came from a guy that goes by Bocephus in the Marketplace section on www.falfiles.com $110.
