Thanks for the links, Old Dominion. I'm doing some research now, and perhaps I'll be extra nice to Hollis when I return to Ecotopia.

Yeah, those buggers grow big here in Finland...

Actually, I bought it for Moose and (if I get lucky) bear. But I want it with heavy barrel, so I can use it for target shooting also. A little strong recoil, but fortunatelly I'm not midget (188cm and 105kg).

Here's my latest project, a full dress Bedford County longrifle, lots o' brass and silver and carving by the time it's done. It's a beautiful tigerstripe maple club at the moment....

Cali, is there any chance you could do some type of step by step pic story of building one of your sweet rifles???

Or just post a few more pics, that would be cool

Cali Joe, have you ever looked at "track of the wolf", they are supplier of parts to build BP firearms,

There is a guy north me, who builds some beautiful stuff.

I sure love them. In a way the mixture of Wood (nature) and Steel (man) makes a statement.

BTW, Geezah has a great suggestion. I would love to see the rifle finnished.

The first firearm (1971) I built was a flint lock pistol, I still have it. I posted the 1763 Charlievilled I built for my son, when he was born.

If I did not suffer from acute laziness I should build some more BP firearms. I still have a few Aks to build, one for my son (daughter already has hers).

    edit to add link, http://www.trackofthewolf.com/(S(2dl...5))/index.aspx
