be careful with those Garands, they are addicting! I got my 1945 vintage Springfield from the CMP and now I have a HRA reciver on order so I can build another one.

I'll let him tell you, but it was a sweet shooter at the range yesterday. Its dead on, and the recoil is really managable..

Just kinda getting into it. It started off as target shooting and now I'm moving towards hunting. They're just fun to collect. Next is a 1911 and maybe an M1 after that. Im applying to the Sheriff's Department after I graduate in Spring 08 so I assume I'll need a duty weapon then too... It just keeps getting more and more fun

Watch out for the 1911 addiction. It's unstoppable. To me anyways.

heres a better picture of the pistols: same as before, but I forgot the 1976 Highstandard Sportking

Ya, Im feeling it with the other guns, but I'm sure when I get into the 1911's that I'll really feel the addiction. There are so many models and options to choose from, haha

Nice collection, Irish11. I always have the urge to shoot a single-action revolver after I watch a spaghetti western.

yea i want another one, but my list right now goes, Uberti S.A.A., another 1911 and then a M1 Carbine, may be awhile till i get it. Oh yea and a Savage Stevens bolt action in .223. then maybe another garand.

I regret ever selling mine, even though it was to buy something else cool.
    whats cooler than a Garand???

Irish...some cool guns. i liked the Ruger Security Six, i'm still not a fan of Double Actions though, it was much easier to fire it single action. cool guns, the mosin is a ****in dragon.

Well it's probably NOT cooler than a Garand, but I suppose it depends on your perspective: a mint Afrika Korps NCO tunic for a Luftewaffe 88 gunner. Actually, both the M1 and the tunic have appreciated considerably since I made the sale/purchase, making me wish I didn't have to give up one to buy the other.
    But, I guess that's life.

By the way, I also have an M1 Carbine and a 1903A3 Springfield. I won't make the mistake of selling those, like I did with the Garand.

my "Single Action Army" Fund is almost complete too lol. I've always wanted an 03 Springfield, never seen one in a gun store up here, only seen 1 at the WAC gun shows. i just may have to join the CMP to get one.

I love the carbine, as well as the 1903. Both are near-mint condition too (I doubt that either saw action anywhere).
I originally had a Universal .30 carbine, which I had traded a semi-auto Sten for. The Universal sucked (don't get one, mine actually blew up on me while I was firing blanks through it in a WWII reenactment), but it came with a sh*tload of magazines and ammo, which I now have for my GI carbine.

Unfortunately, I can't post pics of them, because I'm in Japan (until April) and the guns are at my dad's place in Oregon.
