How much of it was a custom race gun job and how much is original from the factory?

Pretty much factory custom by the sounds of things.......It's 95% right out of the box and should allow me to shoot 2 IPSC classes right away(free time dependant)

Let us know how it shoots, too... 9x21, huh?

That's the only downside....not THAT common......but the deal includes all the reloading kit I could ever need...just requires me to get my reloading skills up to standard.

Nice looking piece, even though I don't like plated guns - I bet it'd look even better is Polycoat black or hot blued Functionally, it looks like it should run like a champ though - good purchase!
Yeah....I'm not a fan of plated drug dealer looking firearms........but it was practically free compared to building one from scratch.

My buddy's collection...I love the 1903. He built the underfolding AK (Yugo M70 AB, I think...?) and the AR-15 (Superior Arms lower).

Hmmmm.... another contender... looks neat. What would you personally say sets this apart (positively) from a USP?

Actually he hasn't even fired it yet. He just got all the parts in 10/11, so the day of the AR really has yet to come. We are both looking forward to it. It cost him about $500 total, which is a hell of a deal if you ask me.

Ergonomics, a few more functionality changes.

Full m1913 rail, for lights and lasers and fairy's and such. It's the V3, so it has that wierd decock on the back of the frame/slide like the one on the p2000. Ambidextrous slide release like the p2000, decent 3 dot sights. its fairly compact too.

Personally, for dudes with medium sized hands like myself it fits like a glove, probably the most comfortable double stack handgun i have ever held. i'm a big fan of the way the Smith and Wesson M&P autoloaders fit, but this P30 is much better.

Also sold a Mini 14 6.8SPC by ruger, one of only like 30 released. Its nice, no difference but the caliber.

    Thanks.

If it fits like an M&P... I'd be screwed.

I like the P2000 decocker. I used to sell guns when the P2000 came out. Everything after that is new to me.

doesn't fit exactly like the M&P, i'm sayin personally...for me if feels just as or more comfortable.

i always liked the USP series safety/ decocking lever, always reminded me of the 1911, it just worked for me better.

The p30 is really user friendly gun, from the ambi mag release to the textured side panels and finger grooves, i'd say it'll be a great shooter. if i had the money. i think it'd be the only HK i'd buy. I know HK is one of the top of the line manufactures, i've just never been a fan, call me old fashion. But i'd buy this one...i wonder what would happen if they made a 1911....

If they made a 1911, I'd probably not purchase any HK products. Kinda like when SIG came out with their 1911... and they were returned for repairs en masse...

Oh... crap... did I just say that? Damn...

(I know, they're Caspian. Parts $47-49 or something with the ILS and something around the extractor always blew out)
