Ha, I'm trying to keep myself from picking up a DD Omega rail for it since I have no "need" for one.
Nice carbine by the way D-gin. I'm also looking at EO-techs too...but if I do get another reflex sight like that, it'll probably be the Bushnell version.
I really love EoTech sights, It's very easy to acquire the reticle and IMO is better then my Aimpoint's red dot but yes I know thats like arguing why someone likes red more then blue, It all comes down to the users preference.

Quick question guys. Feel free to tell me to GTFO.

I notice a lot of you blokes have your backup iron sights mounted behind the optics, the ones that don't flip down. I don't have any experience with anything but iron sights, I was just wondering how the sight picture is, when looking through the rear iron sight into the optic.

I'm guessing it's done in case you smash your Aimpoint etc. on a rock or something?

    Thanks.

Yeah, they're a backup when the electronic sight fails for some reason. I don't use a backup on mine ('cause I can't afford one). I have to put my trust in the long battery life of an AIMPOINT.

As for the sight picture, I'd imagine you'd have three points to line up: the center of your rear site, the dot or reticle of your electronic sight, and the top of your front sight.

    Nice M4, Kilo.

I'm debating what upper receiver to get for my AR. I want a 20", i haven't had much luck finding one in the last few months. A few distributors i've checked with say they are all allocated. Who knows, i may wind up getting a Mid-Length. One of the guys who used to work for us got a RRA Mid-Length UTE upper, its real nice. If i had the money and if i wanted to wait 4 months.

But, good luck on the flat-top. If you wanna buy the stripped upper, its pretty easy to swap out.

I finally made up my mind and decided to go with the Colt 6920 when tax month gets here only to read on other boards and certain websites that carry them that Colt is gonna either stop production or scale it back significantly to concetrate on other "hot" projects.

Supposedly, its not just the 6920, its also the other non SBRs that will be affected.

    Any truth to this?

I considered those, but I'm not a big fan of co-witnessing optics with the iron sights.
