Nice! I didn't know RRA made .308 ARs...and the sad part is that I own a RRA AR.
Does anyone know how it compares with the other .308 ARs out there (ie: Armalite AR10, DPMS, etc).

RRA and DPMS, both claim 1.4 MOA on the 16" and 1 MOA on the longer barrels, I think there is not to much between them, they both produce great rifles.

Just picked up a Rock River Arms LAR-8. so far very impressed. Bonus that it uses FAL magazines.

Hey Guys here is the latest edition i added a Eotech 511.A65 It is a great optic. That is the latest i also have a leapers rear iron sight and a Yankee hill phantom 5c2 compensator flash supressor i am going to be adding. Just thought i would share with you guys so far Cheers!!!

ArmaLite claim 1.5-2 MOA.
the only downside with ArmaLite are the mags: expensive & proprietary.

In Queensland they can, but normally ring first. I had heard they were doing audits this year, but i have never been audited.

So do they not have any kind of 4th Amendment type of law down there?

Currently the LAR-8 has a TA01 ACOG, I am planning a TA01B or TA11B later this summer. The Bushmaster Piston M4 has a TA31 on it.

I chose the Rock River due to compatibility with FAL magazines. $10 magazines versus $40-50 magazines from the other Mfrs. The 16" barrels from DPMS, Armalite and RRA seem pretty close in accuracy. Only thing, I wish the LAR-8 had a chrome lined barrel instead of a chrome moly barrel.

Those DPMS mags are $44 bucks, I have no idea how much the SR-25 cost.

the AR-10 at the local store, was not a nice, and cost more, I did not want fixed A2 style upper, I wanted a rail.

The AR-10 mag, are about $44 bugs too, do they work in other rifles like DPMS, or the SR-25.

edit: I here good things about the AR-10. and my wife gave me an opportunity to buy that day, so I wanted to come home with something before she changed her mind.

You can get mags cheaper and even convert M14 mags for the AR 10. Mine is a flat top.

I paid $1200 and it included about 6 mags and a Burris scope

this is a sweet system. I think once the AR-308 type rifle develop more, we might see the mag become more common. I know that the M14 mag can work in an sr-25(with some modification), and the SR-25 mags work in the DPM. Midway sell DPMS made mags for $29, so the price is getting better.
