About $800-$1700 depending on which one you get. I got mine with fiberoptic and a doctor red dot sight on top for $1200. Although in hindsight I would have gotten a non-fiberoptic version. They're cheaper and I like their functioning better both during the day and at night.
In country my Company had about half ACOGs and half M68s(aimpoints). Unfortunately we had to give most of our ACOGs to our replacing unit. But ACOGs aren't at all hard to find in Infantry Companies in the Army. I know that the Marines go solely ACOG but that doesn't make the ACOG a Marine thing.Originally Posted by Irish 11

and went with an EoTech for my AK ....
As a matter of fact I use all 3 types of sights, Aimpoints, Eotechs and Acogs with my rifles.

Thats not what I was implying Ive seen them in both branches. The Army issues both aimpoints and the acog that I am aware of. And the Marines are partial to the Acog. As am I and if I could afford one I'd have one.
When I replied to 40 minute's question it was more of an inside joke between friends. Not a statement of fact, for that I apologize. It was just me giving Dan a hard time, and I assure you it goes both ways. I was saying whichever way he goes it was a lean towards either branch of which we have friends serving in and it is a debate between them which is better (both optics and branch) My bad
On a different note, Nice collection JVeld. Im jealous
@ notoo7 & JVeld,
nice collections !!
Well, i will never be able to afford an acog, so, i'll just look here.
The pictures reinforce why this is my favorite thread.
since i lost my wrench for my eotech im unvolintarily a iron sight man. i like sights, but i payed 400 bucks for it.
I picked up a Ta31F for $660 on EGay. The pawnshop selling it misidentified it, said it had a triangular reticle without giving the model number. When I open the box I see a chevron reticle on brand new 2007 production TA31F scope.

I just finished building another retro AR clone - a transitional 723. It's very light and nicely balanced. I'm looking forward to a trip to the range.
