Just finished upgrading my WASR-10 rifle today with new American made black synthetic parts (K-Var). It was a bitch to remove the crappy Romanian wood as it has been on the rifle for quite some time. A lot of quality time spent with the hammer helped fixed that though, especially with the stock where I had to literally put it on a vice and pull/move it up and down to get the wood out. Also, with the foregrip, I had to file down the rear slots so that it could actually fit into the receiver properly.

Also pictured is a leather H&K G3 sling which works nicely with the rifle. Over 9000 points to whoever can guess what the type of camouflage is behind the rifle.

Edit: Next step for this rifle will be purchasing a set of 6 magazines + pouch and probably around 1,000 rounds of Wolf 7.62 ammunition.

our wasrs are nearly identical, you just need a 74 muzzle device.

That's actually a great idea, AK-74 style muzzle break? I'll have to look into that.

Hey Flagg have you got any friend in the NZ Antique Arms Association Christchurch branch. There was a 9mm H&K VP70 with 2 18 round mags with select-fire holster. G3, Ppsh41 and a few SLRs, one of which had only fired 10 rds since new. A P226 a Glock 10mm model 20. A Beretta model 12S in it's original box. There was also a Star model Z 70 still in it's box.

Hey Flagg, for an on line catalogue, go to www.antiquearms.co.nz and look at the site under construction.

EM did you happen to note some of the prices? I'm curious what the PPS-43, Beretta m12 and VP70 sold for.

Bas i went in and out of the auction but i was not there when the sub machine guns came up. I heard the spas 12 shot guns went for over 2,ooo dollars. There are people at those auctions with deep pockets, most stuff is too rich for me. Visit their web site in a couple of days and they may get round to posting the prices realised.

Yup prices are starting to hit the stupid mark, won't be long before I'm out of the game. I expect that they'll send out a list of prices realised in a couple of months.
